This permit is non-transferable and is for the use of the above named boat, except on a temporary basis. The mooring location is subject to change at any time at the discretion of the Harbormaster as conditions dictate.
The holder of the permit is responsible to set the location of the mooring with the Harbormaster and make adjustments as required for the safety of this and adjacent boats. The mooring number must be painted on a white mooring ball with at least 3” numbers with contrasting paint.
If any watercraft is polluting, hazardous to navigation or in danger of sinking, the Harbormaster may authorize a private contractor to mitigate the damage at the expense of the owner or master. The owner must pay the contractor within 60 days or he/she will lose mooring privileges.
Moorings must be registered before they are occupied or you will be subject to a fine of up to $200 a day. Crowded conditions sometime necessitate some changes in overall positioning of commercial, recreational, small and large vessels. Your signature below constitutes an agreement to abide by the Harbormaster’s decision.
No person may moor a vessel in any part of the coastal and tidal waters of the Town of Cumberland without first annually registering or documenting said vessel with the Town and obtaining a mooring assignment specifying the location of the mooring.
I have read the Coastal Water Ordinance for the Town of Cumberland and agree to the rules and requirements.
