I certify that I am the owner of the above-described vessel and I understand that any misrepresentation in this application may lead to immediate cancellation of mooring permit privileges. I agree to all the term listed below:
1. This permit is non-transferable. It is illegal to rent a mooring without first obtaining a permit from the Army Corps of Engineers.
2. Location of all moorings shall be assigned by the Harbormaster.
3. Holder of permit is responsible for setting mooring and making adjustments as required for the safety of said vessel and adjacent vessels & moorings.
4. Mooring numbers must be painted or burned in 3-inch or larger numbers. All newly assigned moorings will be a white mooring buoy displaying a visible blue horizontal stripe above the waterline.
5. Neglected, abandoned or unauthorized moorings (including but not limited to, unpaid fees, or wrong location) shall be moved or removed by or under the direction of the Harbormaster. Any expense incurred will be borne by the person responsible for its placement (if known).
6. Violation of any of these rules as stipulated shall result in the forfeiture of all permit and lease privileges.
I agree to comply with all rules and regulations as defined by M.R.S. Title 38 and the Town of Harpswell Harbor & Waterfront Ordinance.
