Announcement
Welcome back for the 2023 season in Rowley!
Mooring Inspection Policy (Perley’s Marina customers should check off that “Perley’s” maintains their slip/mooring dock spaces ):
It is a mooring owners legal obligation to assure that his/her mooring tackle are maintained in safe useable condition to prevent vessel breakaways that could pose danger to human lives and/or personal property of others (including your own). This happens more than you think it does! Effective immediately, the Town of Rowley will require an inspection of your mooring tackle by one of two local mooring service providers in the area. We require an initial mooring tackle inspection to be conducted within the 2022 boating season or no later than September 1, 2022. This inspection certificate can be scanned into the On-Line Mooring system under your permit by the mooring service provider or yourself. The Town of Rowley will require that this happen every 3 years at a minimum. Failure to do this will be cause for immediate revocation of your mooring privileges in the Town of Rowley. Your mooring space will then be offered to those on the waiting list.
Can I still file a paper application for a Mooring/Perley’s Slip/Private Dock/ Dry launch permit? No, the Town of Rowley has phased out paper mooring/slip/private dock and dry launch permits. New applications and Renewals will be done on-line. Follow instructions if you wish to pay by check to avoid credit card fees.
All annual renewal Mooring/Perley’s Slip/Private Dock/ Dry launch permits must be purchased no later than May 31st of each year as unrenewed permits will be made available to boaters on the waiting list. You will be notified via email in January each year when the permitting process has started. Any authorized renewals after May 31st each year will be assessed a late fee of $75.00 in addition to the other Mooring/Perley’s Slip/Private Dock/ Dry launch fee’s. No renewals will be issued after July 1st each year and previous mooring privileges will be revoked.
Note: Only Rowley Residents with a mooring/slip/private dock or dry launch can get their launch ramp permit(s) by completing the online application “vehicle” section.
Rowley Residents that do not keep their boat in the water, and use the Rowley Launch ramp, must obtain their launch ramp permits through the Town of Rowley Clerk’s office at Town Hall.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation. I am hoping you find this service more convenient.
Safe boating,
Bill DiMento
Rowley Harbormaster
