We will continue to update here, and on the Town of Southport website, as we receive updates from MaineDOT and Cianbro. April 2023
We are pleased, and excited, to share with you that the Town of Southport has partnered with Online Mooring for a user friendly, online and mobile harbor management solution that will allow for:
- Submittal of an application(s) online - Much-requested online payment - Updated information and coordinates on your existing mooring permit(s) - Application status - View assigned mooring locations using Google Earth - View wait lists online - Access ordinances online
Current mooring information has already been entered into Online Moorings. All customer and mooring numbers have remained the same. In late April I will begin the process of visiting and confirming the coordinates of all of the town mooring. I will then update coordinates on the Online Mooring site.
Mooring Fees for the 2023 season will be as follows: - Individual Mooring: $20.00 per mooring per year - Guest and Moorings: $150.00 per mooring per year - Waitlist applications: $25.00 one time fee
Boat re-registrations can be done online at https://apps1.web.maine.gov/online/boat/ Written requests to remain on the Mooring Waiting List must be made by September 1st each year. They can be dropped off at the town office, mailed in, or sent to: southportharbormaster@gmail.com Requests to remain on the Mooring Waiting List should be sent to: southportharbormaster@gmail.com
Finally, any permit holders who wish to continue the paper method of renewing their mooring permit can do so through the Town Office. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have.
